Originally featured at Photo Clwb in Newport last year, the Lilly of the Valley photo book is a deeply personal project capturing the heart of Abercarn and the Newport Valleys. Inspired by and aligned with the themes of Lilly of the Valley by Catrine Morgan, this collection showcases photographs taken by myself, offering an intimate glimpse into the landscapes and lives of the village and its surroundings.
The release of this book was delayed due to a difficult personal period following the loss of both my parents. This work is dedicated to their memory, as well as to the resilient and vibrant community of Abercarn — the place that shaped so much of my life and vision. The exhibition was honoured by a visit from local MP Jess Mordan, who came to see the work and its connection to the community.
